We have a Medium Goldendoodle named Dolce who was a little over 6 months old when she started training. Before she started training she of course had a lot of puppy energy and curiosity. She quickly realized her size and what she was capable of doing around the house which was fun for her but not very fun for us. She was counter surfing, jumping on furniture, pulling me while we were going on walks it was insanity. Our last straw was when she grabbed a loaf of bread off the counter while we were gone and all we found was the plastic wrapping on the floor.
We started to look for dog training companies and called around and found Sit Happens. We had Chris come out and do the free demo and got a feel of Dolce and what we wanted to get out of the program and we were sold. We got our 4/5 training dates set up with Danny. Danny is a life saver he helped us get to know our dog on a different level and was really patient with Dolce as she had a lot of energy which she didn’t know how to control just yet. Every session we had with Danny we saw improvements in Dolce’s behavior and Dolce loved learning new things.
I just completed 4/5 sessions yesterday and as i reflected I was impressed with Dolce and all that Danny taught her since the first session. We have 1 session left which is a field trip to the Town Center but that will be scheduled after I do more practicing everyday with Dolce for a couple more weeks and get it down pat.
The Sit Happens program is the greatest investment that I’ve made with Dolce. She is now a 2 weeks shy of 8 months and is so much more manageable, and we haven’t had any major issues with her behavior since the start of the program. If you’re on the fence about handing over the money for the training, don’t be! The transformation will be jaw dropping!
